Curepipe is a town with population of 81,600 ( as per 2003 census) centrally located in Mauritius, an island country in the southwest Indian Ocean. It is second in size and importance to Port Louis, the capital. The name comes from the practice of settlers coming to the town to refill, or "cure" their pipes. With comparison to the rest of the island, Curepipe lies at a higher elevation, often referred to as the "central plateau". Port Louis
Port Louis is the capital of Mauritius. It is the biggest city of the country and main port, which located on Indian Ocean. It is located in the Port Louis District.
